Below please find the main elements that will need to be present for a Mitsubishi dealer website to be deemed compliant from the perspective of the MMNA CRM Department:

All dealership websites must have a visible link to www.mitsubishicars.com located on the dealership home page. Acceptable format options:

  • Header - Mitsubishi Cars CTA (with an obvious hyperlink to www.mitsubishicars.com).
  • Footer - www.mitsubishicars.com

Dealership URL

  • The dealership website URL cannot include any non-Mitsubishi brands (i.e. "abcmitsubishi.com" is preferred.)
  • The dealership website URL must link to a home page that is exclusively Mitsubishi.

Non-Brand Inventory

  • All New vehicle product and text content must be Mitsubishi specific on the Mitsubishi dealership home page.
  • Mitsubishi used and non-brand used vehicle inventory may be displayed "below the fold" in the bottom of the home page.
  • The display of brand or non-brand used vehicle inventory images cannot not exceed 25% of the total home page space. URL addresses cannot drive consumers to sites featuring other manufacturers.
  • Non-brand inventory can be listed within the Search widget, but only for Pre-Owned inventory, not New inventory.

Home Page Requirements

Header

Mitsubishi Corporate Communication Mark
  • The official Mitsubishi Corporate Communication Mark must appear on the dealer website.

  • The only corporate logo allowed for display on the dealer website is the Mitsubishi Corporate Communication Mark. (The approved Mitsubishi Motors COMMUNICATION MARK is available on the AdPlanner.)
  • As it is strictly required that the Mitsubishi Motors COMMUNICATION MARK always be clearly visible and legible:
    • "Isolation space" of 40% of the triple-diamond height must be maintained around all sides of the Mitsubishi Motors COMMUNICATION MARK).
    • The Mitsubishi Motors COMMUNICATION MARK must be on a plain, solid color back ground without any graphics or pattern behind or in front.
    • Do not place any design elements, sentences, etc. within the isolation space of the Mitsubishi Motors COMMUNICATION MARK.

Dealer 'Doing Business As' (DBA)

The DBA must be displayed on the dealer website in the header.

  • The DBA must match MMNA's DBA on file.
  • The DBA must be shown in series (i.e., single font style, same color and same case).
    • No borders, patterns or design effects applied (including 3D effects, etc.).
    • No gradations or patterns added to, or graphics overlaid onto, the background.
    • No other lettering or graphics displayed adjacently.
    • Not shown as a logo.
  • Text must be in required Mitsubishi font displaying the full DBA of dealership.
  • It is permissible for the DBA to be displayed on one or two lines (side-by-side or stacked).
  • Isolation space of 40% around DBA is required.
  • There must be a hyphen to separate the dealer's DBA name from the location (e.g., "Columbus Mitsubishi - North").

NOTE: These rules apply whether the DBA is shown in the header of the dealer website and within a digital overlay.

Dealer Logo (If Applicable)

Mitsubishi Program permits the addition of custom dealer logos in the header, as long as the following requirements are met:

  • Such logo may not contain the word 'MITSUBISHI' or the Mitsubishi Corporate Communication Mark.
  • Isolation space of 40% around dealer logo is required.
  • The dealer logo is not a replacement of the dealer DBA. (If there is a dealer logo, it must be displayed along with the dealer DBA.)

Miscellaneous Header Elements
  • Social Media Icons - While this is not a required element, it is highly recommended by MMNA.

The social media icons in the header/footer (and throughout the site) must adhere to the Mitsubishi style guidelines.

    • Color and round icons are required. (They are not permitted to appear in black and white or as square buttons.)

    • Mitsubishi dealer social media icons should link to a Mitsubishi franchise-specific, social-network site.

    • Social Share Icons on mobile sites: It is fine to have a share widget in the VDP that has the standard icons (not referencing the icons in the header).

  • 3rd Party Integrations - 3rd party integrations can be accommodated with Mitsubishi approval.

    • The Black Book Trade-In Appraisal lead capture form and leads submitted through the form are available at no charge to dealers as part of the DDS program.

    • Mitsubishi Service Lane Technology (MICAR): MMNA has partnered with Dealer-FX to deliver MICAR, a service lane technology platform, that will help Mitsubishi dealers transform the customer experience throughout the entire ownership lifecycle. Mitsubishi dealers can start the MICAR enrollment process by reaching out to Dealer-FX directly (call 877-493-0039 or email sales@dealer-fx.com).

      • Once Mitsubishi dealers have enrolled and worked through the DMS integration process with Dealer-FX they will be provided with a unique URL that will be placed on www.mitsubishicars.com as well as the dealer's website to facilitate online service appointment scheduling.

  • 301 redirects - 301 redirects are not required to be added prior to launch.

  • Sister-site CTA - CTA in header that links to another dealership in a dealer group (if applicable) are permitted upon MMNA approval.

OEM Slides

MMNA provides required/optional banner assets for dealer sites.

  1. Ensure that MMNA-required banner assets are shown in the home page slideshow and Corporate Cell.
  2. If there are custom slides in addition to the required/optional slides provided by MMNA, please ensure:
    1. Unless the banner includes the Mitsubishi Corporate Communication Mark, there are NO logos showing with the name 'MITSUBISHI' in them.
    2. There are no other OEM brand logos/vehicles shown in these assets.
  3. Only current model year vehicle images should be shown in the hero rotation (at this time, MY18 and MY19).

NOTE: MMNA does not recommend usage of slides if the dealer does not have the model in inventory.

Campaign Video - Required

Ensure that the most current campaign video is shown on the dealer site home page.

Digital Overlays

  • If applicable, the official/current Mitsubishi Corporate Communication Mark should be used.
  • There are no non-OEM brand logos/vehicles shown.
  • If applicable, Dealer logo must not contain the word "MITSUBISHI".
  • If applicable, the dealer DBA must follow the same rules as listed above:
    • The DBA must match MMNA's DBA on file.
    • The DBA must be shown in series (i.e., single font style, size, color same case).
    • Text must be in required Mitsubishi font displaying the full DBA of dealership.
    • It is permissible for the DBA to be displayed on one or two lines (side-by-side or stacked).
